Nikon Precision Europe GmbH is the organisation supporting the latest Nikon Scanners for its European customers. We provide Service to our customers during all the lifecycle of the Scanner. Whether it is during Installation, Wafer Production Ramp-Up or in a Sustaining Production Environment, our team provide Expert Analysis and Solutions to enable optimal usage around the clock of the Capital equipment in the customer factory.

We are currently hiring a Japanese/English Translator and Administrator to join our Customer Service group at the Intel Factory in Leixlip (County Kildare, Ireland).

What you will do …
Interpretation
  • Verbal interpretation between Japanese engineers and local engineers
  • Accompanying Japanese engineers at Intel’s Ireland manufacturing plant
  • Interpretation support at meetings
  • Providing interpretation support to Japanese engineers on relocation
Translation
  • Translate Japanese product technical information, work instructions, technical check sheets, action plans, bulletins, emails, special training materials and official documents into English
  • Translate English documents into Japanese if required
Administrative assistance
  • Support Japanese engineers as required, including:
    • Work permit applications
    • Assistance with issues when coming arriving or leaving Ireland
    • Travel arrangements, booking hotel/apartment, dealing with issues/changes
    • Tracking arrival and departure of Japanese and other visitors to Intel’s site
    • Accompanying Japanese staff to appointments (e.g. registration/housing/medical/bank etc.)
    • Support of site administration requirements on a day to day basis
Who you are …
  • You are a native Japanese-speaker or are fluent (both written and spoken)
  • You have a high level of English (both written and spoken)
  • You have excellent computer skills including MS Office
  • You have a full Irish driving license

Working conditions:
Contract
  • 12 months fixed-term contract
Working hours
  • Full time role Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4pm. 
  • Flexible to work outside of core hours.
  • Overtime as required including evenings and weekend.
